The More Businesses I Look At…

Hi all 👋
Hope your week’s off to a good start.
One thing operational reviews keep reminding me of is how much work inside a business becomes invisible over time.
People adapt to it. Processes get accepted. And eventually, nobody really stops to ask whether the work still needs to be done that way at all.
This Week's Case Study
One accounts receivable team was spending a surprising amount of time manually processing remittance advice every week. This had become so embedded in day-to-day operations that it was simply accepted as part of the workload.
We redesigned how payment information was extracted and validated, the team got back 15–20 hours per week. That's roughly two full working days redirected back to the team every week.
Less time spent processing documents. More time focused on collections, cash flow visibility, and the work that actually required human attention.
If you're interested, there's a bit more detail behind this one on LinkedIn.
A Useful Resource
It’s always surprising to see how much premium salary is spent on repetitive data entry.
We built a free calculator to help you estimate exactly what manual tasks are costing your team right now.

In Case You Missed It
I shared a few thoughts on why AI pilots often struggle when it's time to scale them across the business.
That's it for this week.
