Blackbook AI has appointed technology consulting executive David Emery as Managing Director – Consulting. Emery will lead Blackbook AI's consulting practice, working with enterprise and public sector clients to turn investments in AI, automation, data and digital technology into real operational, commercial and strategic value.
The appointment comes as businesses move beyond AI pilots and proof-of-concept projects, with boards and executive teams under growing pressure to show a return on the technology investments already made.

Emery joins Blackbook AI with more than two decades of experience in technology consulting, business transformation and executive leadership. Most recently, he advised private equity investors, founders and executive teams on investment readiness, growth strategy and operational transformation.
Prior to his advisory work, Emery held senior leadership roles at Servian and, following its acquisition, at Cognizant. He served as National Managing Partner & Executive Board Member of Servian, thenManaging Director and Head of Cognizant Servian through the post-acquisition integration, before being appointed Head of Technology Consulting APJ, leading the practice across a broad range of industries.
